People Empowered: Caprice-Kwai

“I have osteoarthritis in my knee, joint hyper-mobility and chronic pain syndrome. My conditions affect all of my joints, but mainly my legs, so I use crutches and mobility aids to walk and get around.” “Having a disability has had a huge impact on my life, both positive and negative. I became disabled when I was 10 years old and it had a huge impact on my confidence and self-esteem. But, on a more positive note, my disability has really changed my life in that I’ve had the opportunity to do so many amazing things. I’ve met so many amazing people through my modelling, I’ve been able to share my story and inspire others as well, so that’s a big positive.” “I would like to be a jewellery and accessories designer. Jewellery has always been a big part of my life. With having a disability and problems with my legs, I can’t always wear clothes I really want to wear, so having statement earrings or a necklace really makes my outfits pop. I want to be able to give people that confidence jewellery and accessories have given me; I want everyone to feel beautiful.”
