Inside Out

Go on, ask us what SS16’s first key buy is? The slip dress is back and looking slinkier than ever – and this season the lingerie trend is impossible to keep under wraps. With underwear as outerwear as a lead concept including sensuous dresses, barely there camisoles and silk robes, the catwalks for SS16 are embracing lingerie’s potential as an independent clothing item.

Obviously it is already a celebrity favourite: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna and Chanel Iman have all been recently photographed in various states of glamorous undress.

How to wear it

- This is a ’90s trend, so wear it accordingly. A short-sleeve white T-shirt or fine-knit polo neck layered under a slip dress makes a statement without revealing too much. To double on this, why not pair with the ultimate ‘90s shoe – the flatform such as KG Kurt Geiger ‘Lulu’ (with a little added fluff for good measure).

- This trend doesn’t have to mean seduction. Choosing floaty chiffons in pastel colours screams summer and can be worn during both day and evening. Taking inspiration from Rihanna for a daytime look, we’d pair with the lace-up KG Kurt Geiger ‘Lava’. for an evening statement, try stealing Amber Le Bon’s style by matching a sheer blouse with Kurt Geiger London ‘Keats’.

- Everyone looks good in a silk camisole. Throw an oversized black blazer or duster jacket on top for the easiest evening option, pairing with Kurt Geiger London black ‘Britton’ stilettos and ‘Saffiano London Tote’ bag for the ultimate in chic simplicity.

Inside-out dressing is this season’s first look, and we would love for you to show us how you’re styling this trend through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
